Borough of Manville -Department of Public Works – Modified April 2020 Services
Due to the worldwide COVID-19 health situation and to comply with Federal, State and Local declarations, the Department of Public Works has to make some modifications to services for April 2020:
Bulk Item Pick Up for April 14th is canceled.
Yard Waste Items will be picked up curbside April 7th and April 21st in accordance with the guidelines.
Saturday Grass Clipping Drop-Off at the Public Works Yards will begin early. Starting April 11 and April 18th and April 25th residents can bring grass clippings to the DPW Yard between 8 a.m. and Noon.
To comply with the social distancing guidelines, residents will need to place or dump the clippings in the appropriate dumpster. Grass clippings need to be in biodegradable paper bags only; no plastic bags. An employee will be on site to only direct residents accordingly but without any interaction.
Municipal Waste – All municipal waste for pickup must be placed curbside by 7 a.m. on the scheduled day in a plastic bag whether or not it’s in a garbage can. Any loose waste that is not in a plastic bag will not be picked up. Also lids may be left off of cans to allow for the DPW crew to lift the can and dump bags without having to make contact with other surfaces.
In observation of the Easter Holiday, the Department of Public Works will be closed on Friday, April 10th. Friday’s municipal waste will be collected on Thursday, April 9th.
