[ARCHIVED] Manville Residents - A Message from the Mayor

Dear Manville Residents,

In light of COVID19 Governor Murphy issued executive order 107 which went into effect at 9:00 pm on Saturday March 21st. This “Stay at Home” order requires that all residents are to stay at home or their place of residence unless they are leaving for the following reasons:

  1. Obtaining goods or services from essential retail businesses;
  2. Obtaining takeout or food beverages from restaurants;
  3. Seeking medical attention, essential social services, or assistance from law enforcement;
  4. Visiting family or close friends, caretakers, or romantic partners;
  5. Reporting to or performing their job;
  6. Walking, running, or engaging in outdoor activities with immediate family, caretakers, household members, or romantic partners;
  7. Leaving for an educational, religious, or political reason;
  8. Leaving because of a reasonable fear for health or safety; or
  9. Leaving at the direction of law enforcement or other government agency.

In order for the Borough of Manville to comply with this executive order and to further the well being of our residents and employees until further notice;

  • Access to the Borough Hall building will remain closed to the public.  
    • Borough Hall will be available via telephone ( 908-725-9478)                                                                                                                   9:00 am – 1:00 pm Monday through Friday.  
  • Residents are encouraged to mail tax and sewer payments to the Borough or feel free to utilize the lock box located in front of Borough Hall next to the main entrance. 
  • Non- emergency Police Department telephone number is 908-725-1900 
  • Public Works will continue with the collection of garbage as scheduled. Public works can be reached at 908-725-5512.
