Junior Counselors have a very important role in helping to run our Weston Summer Camp. Campers will look up to you for support and guidance which will teach you leadership skills as you act as a role model for our campers. You will be responsible for assisting with planning and implementation of camp activities including arts and crafts, games and group challenges. You will assist camp counselors with supervision of children and help to maintain a safe environment for the campers. As a Junior Counselor it is important that you enjoy working with children and adults, be flexible to changes, energetic and have a desire to share in the camper’s excitement.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Age 13 or older
Highly energetic, team player and must be willing to fully participate in all aspects of the camp day and activities.
Be willing and able to learn and follow all policies and procedures in order to provide a safe environment.
Have good communication skills
Previous experience working with children is preferable
Be willing to walk to Memorial Pool for the weekly field trip
