NOTICE OF 2018 MEETING DATES

DECEMBER 12, 2017

The Manville Municipal Alliance and the Manville Youth Services Commission, County of Somerset, State of New Jersey, hereby designate the attached Meeting Schedule as the dates of their regular meetings, and unless otherwise modified by a majority vote of these bodies, such joint meetings of these bodies shall commence at 6:00 PM and shall be held at Manville Library at 100 South 10th Ave, Manville, New Jersey.

Notice of meetings of the Manville Municipal Alliance and the Manville Youth Services Commission shall be posted 48 hours in advance on the official Bulletin Board in the Manville Library at 100 South 10th Ave, Manville, New Jersey.

The Courier News, circulating in Somerset County, is hereby designated as the newspaper to receive notices of meetings of the Manville Municipal Alliance and the Manville Youth Services Commission.

Any person may request, in writing, to borough hall for them to mail a copy of the schedule of regular meetings of the Manville Municipal Alliance and the Manville Youth Services Commission and/or advance written notice of special or re-scheduled meetings of the Manville Municipal Alliance and the Manville Youth Services Commission. All requests made pursuant to this paragraph shall terminate at midnight, December 31 of the current year subject to renewal thereafter upon the filing of a new written request to the Director of Human Services.

Upon the affirmative vote of a majority of the members present, the Manville Municipal Alliance and the Manville Youth Services Commission may hold a meeting without compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act of New Jersey, if to delay such meeting for the purpose of providing adequate notice would be likely to result in substantial harm to the public interest.

The Municipal Alliance Committee (MAC) was appointed to identify alcoholism and drug prevention and education needs in the community. Membership includes representatives of schools, courts, law enforcement, religious and social service organizations, parents, businesses, recovering persons, and concerned citizens.

Municipal Alliance meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Manville Public Library.
